Hi, I’m Barbara Rodriguez, a 53-year-old cancer survivor, screenwriter, and freelance writer with a passion for storytelling. After a life-changing battle with Stage 3A lung cancer, I discovered my true calling: writing. Through my work, I share personal stories of resilience, faith, and growth, with the hope of inspiring others who are facing their own challenges.
I’ve contributed to platforms like Medium and NewsBreak, and my writing often explores themes of healing, self-discovery, and love—especially after life’s big plot twists. Whether through my memoir The Puerto Rican in Me or articles about post-cancer life, I believe in the power of storytelling to connect and uplift.
When I’m not writing, you’ll find me reflecting on my faith, embracing new adventures, and continuing to grow in this exciting chapter of life.
