In Trump country, here’s what a No Kings Protest looks like. {Photos}

“In the United States, citizens have the right to criticize the President, and this right is protected under the First Amendment. This right is considered a crucial part of a functioning republic. While threatening the president is illegal, expressing disagreement or criticism of the president’s policies or actions is a protected form of free speech.”

Driving through the midwest, full of good humans beings who voted for a bad human being, where TRUMP chocolate bars and mints are sold in the gas station you’re giving your money to…I attended a No Kings rally today. Here’s a few of the photos of various signs and caring, peaceful citizens.

A few points from various comments:

That folks still support Trump after all his lies, hate, and corruption…represents Stage 9 (as Trump said) TDS. It’s a cult.

It’s almost as if millions of Americans are patriots and care about our democracy, not your King.

It was so fun, heartening, communityful, peaceful. So many meaningful signs. And so many Stars & Stripes.

What we’re seeing should rise above partisanship. This is about protecting our hard-won democratic principles.

Protest matters in a country ruled by We the People.

Millions are more than happy to protest a corrupt conman for free.

Make sure you’re getting your news from journalism, not hateful propaganda.

LA is largely peaceful, and Trump is seeking to create conflict, not resolve it.

Fascism is citizens dumbing themselves down to believe lies. Fact: Trump killed bipartisan immigration reform because he doesn’t want to fix it, he wants to inflame your kind of hate.
