Capricorn Full Moon: Building a New Era of Self. {July 10}

“Whether it’s science or magic, if it’s of fun benefit, enjoy!” ~ ed

~

There is greater momentum building toward the second half of 2025. As we continue to shed the weight of the old, the new beckons us forth.

The winds of change are calling to many of us to step up to a new level of leadership, mission, path, and purpose on the planet at this time. The deeper we go in our commitment to our soul path and soul calling, the more we help the collective liberate and break free from limitations, programming, and wounded templates of self.

The world stage continues to implode and explode to the nth degree point, as increasingly tense, warring, volatile, and chaotic energies swirl in a mixing pot of system collapse, breakdown, and all things dissolving.

The fear, pain, separation, anger, grief, and confusion can become all too much when we’ve outsourced our faculties of attention to the chaos on the screen, images in the news, or words of strife on the inter web. Of course, we need not bury our heads in sand to avoid a reality at play, one of war, pain, suffering, and hardship. But we also can recognize the power of our attention and energy to fuel and bolster either belief in a world losing its heart and mind and the inability to truly trust in the goodness of humanity, or perhaps a deeper built faith in the collapse as needed breakthrough and the emotional debris surging through the collective as needed purging to break us free from past pain cycles.

But, we mustn’t get trapped in the loop of suffering. Choosing to step outside the matrix box of programming is how we begin to see what’s really true. Seeing spiritual truth is a mission many of us know and walk on the daily, even as chaos plays out on the screen like a movie. We offer compassion to the timeline of war and pain still playing out externally, and know that this only perpetuates as long as this pain, shadow, and darkness lives unattended to in our own hearts. So we tend to the inner pain. We tend to the inner hurt and wounding. The inner weeding process of beautifying our inner heart garden again. Connecting back to the truth of our inner light and radiance, here to hold the spacious presence for the darkness to remember it is not separate from the light of our eternal presence.

A new era of self and soul calls to us. In the shadows of pain, karmic unwinding stories, ancestral trauma, and patterns uprooting, we can hear it. The whisper growing louder of our soul mission. To keep forging a path of courage, truth, boldness, and power reclaimed. We have been initiated into this new era of self since Saturn, planetary ruler of all things karmic related, time, father energy, accountability, structure, and limitations, moved into the fiery, take charge, cardinal and no bullsh*t sign of Aries on May 24 and will remain until April 2028.

Saturn is an energy that says, “Build something of value. And make it sturdy and strong for the long haul. Put in the work to build the structures that will sustain you and watch how this foundation of stability allows your life force energy to blossom and expand with integrity and self-accountability bent on being so deeply self-resourced.”

Saturn in Aries is making way for a new type of leader. Sovereign. Independent. Self-focused and selfish, not out of lack of care for others, but deep self-respect and self-value. Aries asks for courage and bravery in building a foundation of self that is self-led, self-confident, and doesn’t wait for permission from others to succeed or take action forward. This energy requires a deep self-trust and relationship to self built on safety and trust. It is a newer sense of self many of us have been building toward and reconnecting with.

Saturn energy will continue to work its medicine on us as we approach this upcoming lunation and full moon in the cardinal, earth sign of Capricorn, occurring on July 10 at 4:36 p.m. EST. Landing in the second decan of Capricorn, at 18 degrees, this energy is working deeply with Venusian qualities as well. There is a seriousness here with Saturn energy, asking us to get seriously committed to our goals and the timeline needed to make them happen. Venus softens the energy some here, reminding us that we need others to reach our goals, relationships that support our visions and goals, and a focus on synergy and beauty to build something of value and meaning.

Capricorn energy is steady, slower to build, but knows that what it’s building will last and sustain in the harshest of conditions. Capricorn rules the bones and the teeth. The building blocks of life itself. The structures of life and for life to exist. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, father time and karma clean-up crew, here to uplevel our maturity and growth by pushing us to evolve beyond our comfort zone. Capricorn is the grit. The resilience in the face of economic and global, political collapse. Capricorn says, “Stop outsourcing your authority to others! Step into the driver’s seat of your own inner authority and lead your own life, choices and path.” Capricorn knows that no government is coming to our rescue. No parental figure will save us now from our own inner healing processes. Because we are becoming the father we maybe never had. Capricorn energy is the father archetype. Many of us were raised in families where absent, emotionally disconnected, abusive, punishing, authoritative, toxic, or otherwise lacking in true masculine leadership father energy pervaded.

We can lament on the unfairness and injustice of such conditions, forever looping in victim consciousness and blame-game seeking, attracting partners who continuously mirror these father wounds back to us, or we can finally say, enough! Enough blaming our fathers for their own trauma wounding and inability to heal themselves, and passing along that pain to us. Did we deserve better? Of course. Did they deserve better also from their own parents? Absolutely. We must take sacred responsibility to heal the wounds within self and not continue to project our pain onto others to fix, manage, or somehow change and be different.

Acceptance of our fathers and the energy they brought is vital. Offering love to the parts of self who never received true emotional nourishment is also key. Reparenting the self is the way and the medicine now. And sometimes this means allowing for the rage and grief to have its way with us as long as it is needed to pave the way to healing, acceptance, and ultimately perhaps forgiveness. On a soul level, the contracts made with our parents are never by mistake, accident, or without purpose to bring about higher octaves of healing and divine remembrance of love with and for ourselves. It is a journey we all must take to heal the wounds of attachment. Where we have felt abandoned, betrayed, harmed, neglected, or dismissed. We must bring loving balm there.

The full moon in Capricorn encourages us to meet the wounds head-on and to boldly step into the inner healing and reparenting work of our most vulnerable and sensitive wounds, as it will be making a loose square to Chiron, the wounded healer. Chiron, still in Aries, reveals the deep held wounds around our bodies, our sense of self-confidence, and courage to be our most authentic selves. Getting to the root of our deepest wounds is the invitation here. Capricorn energy initiates us into deeper self-responsibility for healing the mother and father wounds so we can step into our truest sense of self. Chiron in Aries reveals the wounded self so we can find and be illuminated by the wisdom (Capricorn) and medicine through the wound. Chiron will be stationing retrograde at the end of July until January 2026 so a prelude to a few month time lapse where old wounds around identity, courage, self-confidence, and our physical bodies may surface again. It doesn’t mean we are going backwards but a deeper layer of the onion of healing revealing itself. Tenderness and care is a must now for the wounded but still healing self.

The sun in Cancer helps and aids in this restoration of nourishment and self-nurturing energy. As Capricorn is the father, Cancer energy is the Mother. Cancer season connects us deeply to the wells of mother energy, perhaps to the mother wounds as well, where we didn’t receive the care, emotional support, love, and presence from our own wounded mothers that we so desperately needed to truly thrive and flourish. All of us carry wounds to the Mother. Wounds around not feeling good enough, feeling like we have to over give and self-sacrifice in order to be loved. Wounds around being too sensitive and deep feeling in a world of hardened over hearts from their own pain and trauma. Cancer energy reminds us to connect to the Great Mother, the Divine Mother energy that exists within the fabric of this universe, that her love has never truly abandoned us. The lineages of grandmother energy, the warmth, sustenance, and nourishment of their love holding us still, one we can connect in with any time we forget.

Cancer energy connects us to the past. How do we heal and honor the hurts of the past without staying stuck there? Cancer is of the heart, the eternal heart consciousness of love and compassion. How being sensitive to the fluctuations of energy is our greatest gift and medicine even if we’ve felt cursed by this empathic ability. Cancer energy is constantly scanning its environment for a felt feeling of safety and security. Cancer rules the home, family, and our ancestry. How are we nourishing and nurturing ourselves and our loved ones?

Cancer rules the stomach (gut-knowing and digestion and assimilation of all emotions and energies) and the breasts (openers of the heart space). How are we connecting to our guts and allowing ourselves time and space to digest our emotions and experiences? Digestion is not just about food after all, but energy and nervous system regulation. To know that eating is inherently an emotional experience. And we need not feel shame about feeling comfort connecting with food and truly allowing ourselves to receive that. Of course, this doesn’t mean it becomes the sole source of our comfort and emotional processing, but food and nourishment are absolutely energies of emotion. We have memories of our lives connected to the foods we have eaten. Our biology is deeply rooted and tied to the nourishment we’ve received throughout our lives. Food is life, and one of the most intimate relationships we’ll experience.

The Cancer themes of depth and internal excavation continue to invite us to journey within into the waters of our emotional landscape. We had a new moon in Cancer on June 25, conjunct Jupiter newly in Cancer as well. Jupiter will remain there for the next year. This new moon was an amplification of our emotional processes, intuition, and heart energy. With support from Mars still in Virgo, we are asked to take action toward health and daily habits from a rooted-in-love space, not from shame, judgment, or self criticism. And to make sure the nervous system is on board with the action steps we are taking. Saturn was also in the mix here asking us to take even deeper responsibility for our emotional health. Jupiter expands all that it touches, for better or worse. Jupiter in Cancer for the next year is an expansion of our heart space energy, our intuition, but also perhaps our emotional overwhelm at times and our sensitivities. Our home and family may be expanding in the literal sense. A growing feeling of needing to expand our sense of safety and security in the world. Knowing that like the cancerian crab, we carry our home within the self wherever we go and through whatever changes we undergo. Cancer reminds us that by cultivating the home within the self, we experience our most trusted and truest sense of safety and belonging.

This full moon in Capricorn will be a continuation and culmination of this lunar cycle, offering supportive energies to help bolster our inner illuminations and release points. The north node in Pisces will be sextile to the moon, offering us a sacred and divine invitation toward our soul’s path and purpose, as long as we put in the work to get there. The deeper soul, spiritual Pisces mission is calling us. And Capricorn is the energy to build spiritual structures that will sustain and help serve humanity on a soul level. It’s yet another nudge from the universe and cosmic energies saying, “Keep building! Keep stabilizing the foundation of your soul-led business in deeper trust and devotion that you have the support and will have the support to sustain it for the long haul.” Because the soul-led businesses are what is needed in this malnourished and soul-deprived world. We need the true, on-the-ground, embodied, heart-led soul leaders ready to step up.

Pluto will be sextile to Saturn, a deeper invitation here to transform the outdated structures that are no longer supporting us or our growth. We need root, foundational, and ground level transformation. This can bring up fears, of course, because it might mean totally shifting career paths, stepping out on our own into a new business, or doing something completely new. Fear is the deeper invitation to foster self-trust and repattern our connection to a creator template and divine support system here to help us build a new foundation of self. The sun in Cancer remains in a sextile to Mars, bolstering our emotionally-led hearts to take action that aligns with our work and service in the world. Yes, the details can overwhelm us at times and paralyze us into freeze responses, but just one step, one detail and then another, and we slowly start to move toward something new. Even one small action step opens the energy and space. And Capricorn energy is the slow and steady after all, mountain goat climbing up the mountain to reach our next goal.

Saturn will be conjunct to Neptune also newly in Aries which can lend itself to some self-delusion, fantasy-reaching, and escapism from responsibility. But also, a deeper encouragement from the spiritual realms to take the bold leap of faith into the new and that we have the support from the other realms to build something of spiritual meaning and value in this 3D realm.

Uranus moves into Gemini on July 7 and will remain there until 2033. A time of technological expansion bent on fostering bigger, bolder, and more outside the box platforms of communication and connection building. Liberation of the mind becomes the focus here. Liberating our individual and collective minds from the limiting stories of lack or limitation. A new era of self-expression. Speaking the words we were once afraid to speak for fear of rattling any cages. Uranus in Gemini says rattle away. Speak the words. Write the book. Free the voice. No more silencing or squelching the voice or the message we came here to communicate. To know that we have a unique voice and it is needed to help others break free and liberate themselves. A time of liberation and freedom. How can we create and restore a sense of freedom and liberation of the mind? Take back the psychological warfare propaganda of the world and cultural lens’ foot pressing down upon us, telling us how to act, what to believe, and what to think. No more! We are free in our minds because we choose to see past the psychological manipulation of the world screen bent on keeping us small, in fear, and disconnected from our own power.

Saturn, ruler of this full moon, will station retrograde a few days after the full moon on July 13 and remain until November 27, transiting back through the watery degrees of Pisces and back into Aries. A time to reflect on what structures in our lives are truly ready to go for good. What deeper release points and surrender around these endings need to be had. Those father wounds resurface and we are asked to heal, release, and forgive even deeper here. Mercury will join in its tri-annual retrograde in Leo this time on July 18 for a few weeks, reminding us to slow down, go inward into our mental space, reflect, and review our communication and thought processes in regards to our creative endeavors and heart-led creations—reminding us that the inner creative fire burns still, even when it just feels like a flicker in the night.

We’ve had to dig as deep as dirt to find our inner creative fire and inspiration for existing in these trying, exhausting times. It can be so easy to become devoid of passion, purpose, and motivation when the world is continuously on fire. We must dig deeper. Into the reservoirs of inner foundation building. Capricorn energy reminds us that grit and perseverance lead to true stability, but Cancer reminds that without nourishment of the self, heart, and emotional spirit, we will feel starved of true fulfillment. Let this full moon bathe your inner waters with feminine sustenance and heart. Let this full moon ground you deeper into self. Root you and plant you in a new foundation of self. A new era is rising, as the old continues to crumble and dissolve. Keep releasing the old. Keep letting go of decaying structure of self, identity, and foundation built on sand devoid of true soul purpose. We only get this life to live, as far as we know. So we must make it count.

Allow this full moon to cleanse your spirit of pressure to conform to society’s idea of success. You choose and make your own success. You are the authority of your life and govern your own energy and life choices now. Let the expansion of self happen organically, but fortified by effort and commitment to showing up and saying yes to building a whole new template of life and self. One brick at a time. Let this newfound self become the brick and mortar of your new life template. Let building be the point and the purpose of your soul-led path.

Let your heart rest and soften as often as is needed to restore in the inner waters of self-nourishment. Allow the energies of earth and water to mold you like clay. Soft. Malleable. Formable. Adaptable. Soften when you need with the waters. Strengthen as needed with the earth. Both here to support the becoming of you. Feminine. Masculine. Receptive. Effort. Surrender. Action. Aligned. In. Inner. Union. Of. Self. Trust. The. Self. You. Are. Becoming. To. Guide. You. Forward. Into. The. New. And. Let. The. Soul. Be. The Light. In. Darkness. To. Ignite. Your. Mission. And Path. Of. Devotion. Commitment. And grit. Wisdom-led. Elder. Wisdom. Here. To support. Bold. Brave. Courageously. You. Aho. Amen. And so it is.
